Today at Inprosec Human Capital we introduce you to Pedro Miguel Costas, SAP GRC consultant of the Inprosec team.

What is your function within Inprosec?

My role within Inprosec is that of SAP GRC Consultant. Participating in both SAP Security and SAP GRC projects and services.

What would you highlight about your role in the company?

I would not highlight a single function, one of the things I like most about Inprosec is the variety of projects in which it has allowed me to participate, this always forces you not to relax and involves continuous learning, also being in constant contact with customers allows you to add value to your business.

What has Inprosec meant to your professional career?

Inprosec has a great importance in my professional career because it has allowed me to enter a very specialized sector such as SAP Security and without having previous experience in the sector, they continuously bet on training and also from the first moment they have involved me in projects.

How do you manage to reconcile your personal and professional life?

From the first day I joined Inprosec, teleworking was already implemented and we also have flexible hours, the management of vacations and absences is also very simple, which means that the reconciliation is quite easy.

Tell us an anecdote that has caught your attention at some stage in Inprosec.

When I started at Inprosec we were only working remotely and at the end of last year we celebrated Inprosec’s 10th anniversary event, where practically all the employees attended, it was curious to know more people by their voice than by their face.

What do you value most about working for a company like Inprosec?

The flexible hours of course, but one of the things that has caught my attention is the treatment and willingness of all colleagues to lend a hand where needed, there is a great team mentality, on the other hand, there is also the issue of professional development in which every year together with the manager we set objectives and goals to achieve in that period, which also allows a more objective assessment of my performance.

As an employee of a company that specializes in cybersecurity, what is your advice to any entrepreneur who is starting out with respect to their systems?

Well, if they are starting out I would encourage them to strengthen the security of their systems, but I would also remind them of the importance of training their employees, since there is no point in having robust systems if those who work with them are not aware of the possible risks.

What are your hobbies at the end of the working day?

I would say that my main hobby is soccer, either practicing it or watching the games, although I like sports in general, I also like to go out to eat, go to the beach and after the pandemic year I also dedicate a lot of time to video games.

Who do you “nominate” to interview next and why?

I nominate our colleague Sofía, who has been with Inprosec for a year longer than me and I’m sure she has interesting things to tell.
