Interview with Brath Miraz

Today at Inprosec Human Capital we introduce you to Brath Miraz, SAP GRC consultant of the Inprosec team.

What is your function within Inprosec?

My role at Inprosec would be that of SAP GRC Consultant, within the SAP department.

What would you highlight about your role in the company?

I would mainly highlight my role as SAP GRC Process Control consultant. In this sense, in order to enable a continuous review of the compliance of activities in the various business processes, it is necessary to understand each procedure and meet the needs of each client. This causes me to constantly step out of my comfort zone, which helps me enormously to develop both professionally and personally.

What has Inprosec meant to your professional career?

Inprosec has given me the opportunity to be part of a sector that, since I started my studies in Industrial Engineering, has generated curiosity and attraction in me.

How do you manage to reconcile your personal and professional life?

I joined Inprosec in November 2019 and I live in Santiago de Compostela with my partner. This has never been an impediment for me to adapt to the company, thanks to the great time flexibility we have, and, in addition, telecommuting was always a possible option from the very first moment.

Tell us an anecdote that has caught your attention at some stage in Inprosec.

I met Inprosec at an event organized by the University of Vigo, FINDE.U.

The name and logo caught my attention, so I approached the people who were at the stand to ask them “what they did“. One of my current colleagues, and mentor, answered me with such passion about what he did and the possibilities that Inprosec offered that I think it was one of the main reasons why I am here today, being part of this great family. On a curious note, I almost didn’t attend the event.

What do you value most about working for a company like Inprosec?

An essential point for me, and what Inprosec offers me, is the possibility of having a continuous and very challenging professional development. I also highly value the recognition of my work and effort and the fact that the company always listens to my suggestions.

Another very important point is the policy of support for employee training. In addition to having to invest a percentage of our time in training, the company facilitates this to a great extent through courses or training given by Inprosec’s most experienced consultants.

As an employee of a company that specializes in cybersecurity, what is your advice to any entrepreneur who is starting out with respect to their systems?

If I were to set up a company tomorrow, without a doubt, the best investment I could make would be to entrust the security of my systems to a specialized and experienced company such as Inprosec.

What are your hobbies at the end of the working day?

Classic cinema, listening to good music and, from time to time, I also enjoy training for the biannual event we have at Inprosec.

However, if I had to stick to just one hobby, it would be soccer. So much so, that I am part of the Board of Directors of one of the most recognized clubs in the region of Ferrol, among other things, for its good management. Although, as I already mentioned, I do not currently live in Ferrol, so from afar I try to do my bit.

Who do you “nominate” to interview next and why?

I pass the ball to my colleague Sergia Lagoa to give us her point of view and tell us about her work at Inprosec.
