In order to reduce the impact, extent and to help victims of the ransomware or data hijacking, Europol has launched an initiative called “No more Ransom”
Through a new web, Europol will provide those new ways of action and useful information about payment methods used by these criminals, tips to avoid being infected an a contact directory to report to the relevant agencies.
In addition, this new initiative, gives the option for those infected to upload their encrypted files to the portal in order to identify what type of ransomware is the one that has corrupted their information and, in some minor cases, even decrypt it.
