What is your role within Inprosec?

To manage the international sales department. My role is to achieve a greater presence abroad, to continue to expand our client portfolio beyond our borders. Inprosec has a lot to contribute not only in Spain, and my role is to support foreign companies to improve their security and manage their risks.

What would you highlight about your functions within the company?

To make Inprosec known abroad and make it more global. Specifically we are expanding our presence in Mexico, where we already had a presence several years ago with the acquisition of new customers and our expansion to the rest of Latin America as a first phase of internationalization. I intend to make international companies see that Inprosec is the best partner to support them with their security.

What has Inprosec meant in your professional career?

It has allowed me to enter today’s world, an increasingly technological world from which you cannot and should not be left out. It has undoubtedly been an important milestone in my career in this aspect that, although it was not completely alien to me, was not part of my day-to-day life.

How do you manage to reconcile personal and professional life?

It is never an easy task, but Inprosec has a work-life balance policy that makes it much easier. We have quite flexible hours, there are certain mandatory “core” hours every day, but the rest you can organize according to your interests, occupations, responsibilities, etc… In addition, and although I like to go to the office, more than half of the weekly workday can be done remotely.

Tell us an anecdote that has caught your attention in a situation in a stage in Inprosec

I could say it was just before I joined, shortly after I started working here. I was invited to participate remotely in the celebration of Inprosec’s 10th anniversary so that I could get to know the company a little bit better, I could not attend the whole event but what I saw I liked a lot, I saw the partners really excited about their project and I perceived a human quality that strongly caught my attention, and obviously attracted me a lot.

What do you value most about working at a company like Inprosec?

I value the importance they give to continuous professional development, the sector and the great potential it has to continue growing and, on the more human side, the people I have met here and the work environment.

As an employee of a company specializing in cybersecurity, what is your advice to any entrepreneur who is just starting out regarding their systems?

We read every day in the press what the lack of security in their systems has already meant for many companies. It’s like someone who doesn’t take care of him/herself because he/she thinks nothing will ever happen to him/her. It’s just a matter of time. My advice, without a doubt, would be to recommend that they put themselves in expert hands, who will advise them and help them to minimize their risks.

What are your hobbies at the end of the working day?

I like to spend time with my children, also swimming, doing yoga, and in general practicing any sport, cycling, running, paddle tennis, tennis … I enjoy the company of my friends and once a week I meet with people who want to practice English, which also allows me to practice it and meet people from all over the world, there are more and more foreign people in this city. It is as if in a way I am also traveling a little bit to other places every week, being at home.

Who do you “nominate” for us to interview next and why?

I nominate Jaime Souto because I see him up close every day and I want to know a little more about him and what he does.
