2020 has been a difficult year for Spanish companies due to the sudden halt in many sectors of activity as a result of the arrival of COVID-19. Hiring figures point to a 28% drop compared to last year, and according to INE data, the remuneration that companies have paid their workers has decreased by 9. 4% in the second quarter of 2020 compared to the same period in 2019.
Over time, this trend is expected to continue, since according to a recent study by the consulting firm KPMG, 60% of the companies surveyed admitted that they plan to freeze or cut salaries in the coming months to defend themselves from the drop in turnover caused by the crisis.
Throughout this year, we at Inprosec have made an effort to continue supporting our collaborators in what is appropriate despite the difficulties arising from the COVID-19, facilitating teleworking and maintaining the social benefits that were being enjoyed before the pandemic. In addition, we have been able to continue growing and are now more hardworking than ever.
